The Roseless Bulls

The reigning league MVP has sat out the past four games, but you sure wouldn’t know it from the Bulls’ scores.  They lost to the Trailblazers at home; however, they defeated the Heat, Sixers, and the Magic without DRose.  Last night they defeated the Magic in embarrassing fashion with Orlando scoring an astounding 59 points.  Boozer has been carrying the load scoring, and little guy John Lucas III has been playing out of his mind.  Obviously, Derrick is the Bulls’ best player and will be on the team for another fifteen years, but the way the Bulls are playing right now Rose should keep resting until he is 100 percent healthy.  Also, it’s time to give credit where credit is due, Tom Thibodeau is the coach of the year, without a doubt.  The Bulls rank top three in the league in assists, rebounds, and points allowed.  Thibs deserves alot of the credit for his team’s success this year, especially on the defensive end.  Also, what does ranking tops in the league in these categories mean?  It means that the Bulls’ players have bought into Thibs’ system, and play to their strengths, even without their star player.  Rose is our star, but Thibodeau will receive all the accolades this year, if he isn’t named Coach of the Year then the award shouldn’t exist anymore.
