I know that this was Melo and Lin’s first time playing in a game together, but I think this picture says a lot. Melo did have an off night, and Lin allowed Deron Williams to dominate him: 38 points and 6 assists. The Nets knocked off the Knicks in the Garden with relative ease, but this sure looks like trouble written all over it. I’m not going to go on another rant about why I hate Carmelo, but he’s going to have to learn to share the spotlight with the Harvard Phenom. If he doesn’t, and if I was the Knicks General Manager, I’d begin trying to swap Melo with Dwight Howard immediately. Maybe they can even get lucky and rid themselves of J.R. Smith as well. I’m not ready to write-off Lin and Melo coexisting just yet, but last night was not a good start.
