The battle for East Chicago dominance is being played tonight between the New Jersey Nets and the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. New York in my mind will always be known as “East Chicago” because it is a nice suburb of Chicago, but just too far to ever travel too. This of course is in reference to the “New Yorkers State of Mind” in which they believe that New York is the only city in the world, let alone the United States; any time you need to cross a bridge to get off of Manhattan Island, you have stumbled into a tainted “Non-New York City” area. But, tonight the battle of East Chicago will reach its crescendo when the Nets battle the Knicks in what will be an ugly basketball game. The Knicks own the spread at -6, but I would be shocked if they cover this the way they have played the last fifteen games of their schedule. The Nets are horrible, the Knicks are horrible, but at least the Nets have one good player in DWill, while the Knicks have pretenders like Melo and Amar’e. Definitely take the Nets with the over tonight, it will be easy money, and I will also guarantee at least 25 and 13 from Deron tonight. Go East Chicago Nets!
