After a ridiculously long and boring January 1st of NFL football; finally, today is the day where college football rises to supremacy with the beginning of this season’s slate of real Bowl games. I was really upset to find out that January 1st was an NFL Sunday instead of College football’s greatest day of Bowl’s, but now that it is January 2nd I can finally breathe a little bit easier. The day starts with an interesting matchup between an electrifying offense against a daunting defense in the TicketCity Bowl with Houston and Penn State. The day rolls on with Ohio State vs. Florida in the Taxslayer.com Gator Bowl which is between two perennial college football powers, both of whom are having once in a century down years. Michigan State vs. Georgia play in the Outback Bowl, alongside Nebraska vs. South Carolina in the Capital One Bowl at 1 o’clock. The day ends with arguably two of the best games, both of which are BCS games. Wisconsin plays Oregon in the Rose Bowl at 5, and the night ends with a display of offensive explosion with Oklahoma State vs. Stanford in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl. Should be a great day of College Football, and an even bigger day for Big10 football with five teams from the conference playing. I had to wait one more day than usual for today, but now that it is finally here, I have my game face on: Go Big Ten, and Go Bucks!
