Cutler Back against the Packers?

Today I was driving to get some lunch and I was listening to the greatest radio show of all time, the Waddle & Silvy Show on ESPN 1000 AM, and their special guest at the end of the show was none other than Bears quarterback Jay Cutler. One of the hosts, Marc Silverman, asked Cutler what his timetable was for the broken thumb and if he could possibly be back to play the Green Bay Packers. Cutler expressed that there is an “outside chance” that he will be ready for the week 16 showdown at Lambeau Field.

After a three game losing streak which put the Bears and 7-6 and outside, looking in on the playoff standings every game is almost a must win for them now. Obviously this depends on how the other potential wild card teams play, mainly Detroit and Atlanta, but essentially we need them to lose as much as possible. It’s going to be a very close race to the playoffs this year with so many teams on the brink of winning the wild card. Having Jay Cutler back, whether he’s 100% or not is still a hundred times better than having Hanie play.
